Monday 19th March 2018 Dear Parents and Carers, I am writing to inform you of an incident that took place in school today and to reassure you that the children were at no time in any danger. The School’s Management Plan was put into practice and the incident was dealt with swiftly and effectively with the full support of the Local Authority and the Metropolitan Police. A bomb threat was made to the school via email. Information received from the Metropolitan Police revealed that this was not an isolated incident and many schools in the area and across the country had similar contact. Police attended the site and carried out a visual inspection. Their advice was not to evacuate on this occasion as it was felt not to be a credible threat. Staff have remained vigilant and normal routines and timetable have been maintained throughout. I understand that this incident will be of concern to parents/carers. However the Governing Body and I reassure you that all procedures and protocols were followed to ensure the continued safeguarding of your child. We thank you for your continued support.
